This is my fourteenth year teaching at Shuford Elementary. I taught third grade for eight and a half years, kindergarten for half a year, 2nd grade for four years and this is my first year teaching 1st grade. I received my National Board Certification several years ago, and I have a Master's degree in Reading Education. I have been married for twelve years and we have two beautiful daughters. When I'm not looking for fun and engaging lessons, I enjoy reading a good book with a hot cup of coffee! I LOVE going to Zumba! I have also been running, but running is definitely NOT as fun as Zumba! I participated in the Warrior Dash and the Color Run (5K) several years ago.
I LOVE my job and couldn't imagine doing anything else!
